The WaterMax Service Position is the normal operating mode that treats every drop of water flowing through your home. As water enters the top valve, it travels down through three specialized media compartments designed to capture and neutralize contaminants.
Here’s what happens inside each compartment:
Compartment 1 — KDF Chlorostat + Ultra-Fill Quartz:
Removes sediment, dirt, and chlorine down to a nominal 20 microns, filtering smaller particles than the human eye can see.
Compartment 2 — Coconut Shell Activated Carbon:
Eliminates bad taste, odor, and man-made chemicals like industrial VOCs for fresher, cleaner water.
Compartment 3 — Fine Mesh Ion-Exchange Resin + KDF Bacteriostat:
Softens water by removing hardness minerals like calcium and magnesium while also reducing iron, heavy metals, and lead. The KDF-Bacteriostat self-cleans and prevents bacterial growth inside the tank.
Each WaterMax tank is vacuum-packed and vibration-sealed to ensure 100% media capacity, maximizing efficiency and lifespan. The media used in our tanks is 25% smaller than the industry standard, increasing surface area and ion exchange, making the softening process more efficient and with less water required for regeneration.

Here’s how the regeneration process works:
Brine Prefill:
The system calculates how much salt solution will be needed based on your actual water usage, then draws in treated water to prepare an optimal brine mixture.
Backwash 1:
Raw water flows upward through the media, agitating and cleaning it to flush out trapped particles.
Brine Draw & Slow Rinse:
The brine solution travels through the tank, cleaning the resin beads through a chemical exchange reaction that restores softening power.
Immediate Rinse & Backwash 2:
Fresh water rinses away excess salt and debris to ensure the media are completely clean.
Final Fill:
Treated water refills the brine tank for the next cycle. In just 12 minutes, the WaterMax is fully regenerated — ready to deliver fresh, high-quality water again.
